South Riding , Virginia
[a little west of Fairfax County/Loudoun County border].
Together, we'll find what works for you.
For beginners, I like to use the
Hal Leonard Guitar Method series, which will give you a starting place for reading music. Or perhaps your interests lie in learning to strum and sing; we can start there also. In either case, the goal is to build skills in a step-by-step manner and develop excellent rhythm.
You'll be encouraged to find time for guitar and stay inspired.
I have experience in a variety of styles, reading music, song-writing, technique, scales, chord inversions, improvisation and performing.
